How to Reach Himachal?

By Volvo/Bus:

You can reach Himachal by Volvo buses frequently available from Delhi and Chandigarh. Buses will take 12 hr. to reach Manali which is 550 km from Delhi. For Shimla, it takes 7 to 8 hr to cover a 350 km distance. Similarly for Dharamshala buses takes around 10 hr. Also, this is the cheapest transportation available to reach the hill stations of the Himachal.

By Train:

Himachal is a hilly state that causes the limitation of rail connectivity in the region. The only hill station connected with rail is Shimla. Shimla is connected with a narrow gauge track to Kalka railway station, Haryana which is 96 km away from Shimla. There are 4 trains available from Kalka to Shimla. But there is no railway station in other hill stations of Himachal.

By Air:

Himachal has 3 main airports for all three main hill stations. Bhuntar airport serves Kullu and Manali. It is directly connected to Delhi and Chandigarh airport.
